What is Team Fitness?
Team Fitness is a premier adult fitness company offering unique and challenging workouts in 1 hour classes at multiple locations in the mid peninsula area and Denver.  After recently celebrating 20 years, 25,000 unique workouts, and over 300,000 member workout hours, Team Fitness has demonstrated a proven record of member fitness success over decades.

All classes address the major fitness areas of cardio vascular conditioning, strength, flexibility, coordination, agility, speed, and precision, by using drills, exercises, workout elements, and sport derived from a huge array of our coaches’ sports experience and competition.  Fun, camaraderie, and good coaching are also key elements of every workout.  According to members, “We come for the workouts and stay for the people.”

What level of fitness do I need to participate?
Any level.  It truly doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked out for a long time or if you’re a marathon runner (we have both in our program who work out quite well together).  Each class is structured in a way that everyone will be challenged at their own individual level in a comfortable, non intimidating team environment.

What do you do in a class?
Team Fitness has hundreds, if not thousands, of fitness and sports training elements from which to choose.  Ten to twenty are combined to create a 1 hour workout that will always include aerobic work, strength, flexibility, and coordination.  Power walking to sprints, jump ropes done in a way that no one ever misses, abs and core, stretching, speed, balance, catching, shooting, dribbling, and all kind of games and sports tie it all together.  Beginning to well conditioned athletes are all challenged at their next level as there are always multiple distances, speeds, weights, and intensities from which to choose.  Everyone starts together and finishes together, and all have a lot of fun working hard.  Coaches are very good at helping each individual push or throttle back according to their current fitness level, and are also great at teaching sports fundamentals and techniques to those who would like to learn something new or improve.

What’s the atmosphere within a Team Fitness class?
Fun! Fun! Sweat! Fun!

If you’re having fun and enjoying being with your teammates, you’ll come forever, but you don’t have to come forever to get in really good shape.  It just comes along as part of the package.  People love to do something fun, and it will become a priority quite naturally.  Fun works better as a motivator than just about anything else over the long haul, so we use it.

What is the gender and age makeup of classes?
All classes are co-ed except one.  Most of the co-ed classes are 50-50 male/female plus or minus 10%.  Ages are generally between 35 and 65 with a few younger and some closing in on 80.

What is the size of a class?
We won’t let there be more than 20-25 on the floor regularly and prefer slightly lower.  We are always looking to maximize relationship and team dynamics.  When a class is full, we close it to new enrollment and put interested individuals on a Waiting List.

What are the class times?
Locations, addresses, times, and costs can all be found by clicking on the “Programs” tab at the top of the “Home” page.

What level of commitment is required?
While we do not have contracts to lock anyone “in”, we do ask that you make an honest commitment to yourself and to the team to attend a minimum of three days a week.  We fully recognize that everyone will be out because of sickness, business, vacation, or unexpected life situations from time to time, but those members who have done very well were those that kept their fitness commitment.  It doesn’t take long for the good habit of fitness to be developed, so if you’ve had a hard time “being successful” in other programs, you should find Team Fitness a breath of fresh air.

By the way, just to help you out, our commitment to you is that our coaches will give you a call if we miss you in class.  No we don’t harangue you, but we do like connecting with you whenever we can.

How much does it cost?
Menlo Park and Los Altos locations – $175/mo. No initiation, no contracts, no other fees. Based on 3 days/week.  As conditioning and your time permit, you are welcome to attend up to 6 days/week.

Denver location – Please call Coach Doug for current pricing.

What happens when I travel or am out for an extended period of time?
If you are out for less than three weeks, please feel to attend extra classes before and/or after your absence to get your “make-ups” in.

Team Fitness also provides a Travel Program you can use while you are gone which is designed to give you a 15-30 minute workout to use right at the foot of your bed if no other fitness options are available.  Just borrow a jump rope from class, throw it in your suitcase, and we’ll email you the program.  Don’t be fooled, it’s a good workout.

If you are out for any reason for more than three weeks, you may once a year “freeze” your membership.  We extend this as a courtesy because we recognize that life happens.

What do I wear?
T-Shirt, shorts, a good pair of cross training or running shoes, and sweats or jacket depending on the weather.  We do work out both inside and outside.  Generally the outside work is only when the weather is warmer and the surfaces are dry.

How do I get a free week of classes?
Request a free week right here! Just complete the form in the left hand column at the top of this page and one of our coaches will contact you.

OR

Provide the location, day and time you prefer to attend and other details by using the Contact Us form and one of our coaches will contact you.

We’ll be delighted to have you join us.

Are there any Offers or Discounts?
Yes, please check here for our current pricing and offers available.

How do I sign up?
After visiting for a couple of classes, a coach will set up a 15-20 minute meeting with you to go over a few administrative details, get to know you a little better, and answer any questions you might have.  It’s pretty painless and quick.

"No better way to start the day than getting a good workout with a terrific group of people who over the years have become great friends. If you're thinking it's awfully early in the morning, you're right, but then you feel great about getting on with the day.

The days I miss Team Fitness, I don't feel nearly the same.  Top notch, fun coaches now how to push you just a little harder to make the most of your workout.  Team Fitness (and admittedly the coffee with the friends after) is a big part of my life.  If I knew then what I know now, I would have signed up years earlier!"—Burt C.
